President and Principal Consultant
Lorna is the Founder and President of Environmental Strategy Consultants, Inc. (ESC). Under her management the company has grown and been recognized for its leading-edge environmental and safety services. Her background includes over 30 years in diversified environmental compliance management and engineering in the industrial and consulting sectors. Prior to ESC, she was Manager of Environmental Affairs for a $200 million/year bulk chemical transporter with responsibilities for a network of 95 nationwide facilities. She has also been responsible for corporate level regulatory programs at Sunoco Company – overseeing all aspects of air pollution control, including permitting, process selection, equipment troubleshooting and performance stack testing for 30 gasoline distribution terminals.
With a B.S. in chemical engineering and experience with both corporate management and field implementation of regulations, she has a unique understanding of environmental, health & safety (EH&S) regulations and technical requirements and the development of solutions to minimize the impact of these obligations on industrial facilities.
Elaine is a pioneer in leveraging environmental and energy expertise to ensure beyond compliance: advancing energy, resource conservation and broad sustainability programs and objectives, while reducing risks and administrative burden. Her experience spans from front-line operations to organization-wide governance. Elaine is results-driven; meets immediate obligations, while pursuing sustainability long-term solutions. She is astute at strategically aligning mission and goals with organizational vision, differentiating symptoms from problems and deriving robust cost-benefit analyses. Elaine links forward-thinking environmental & socially responsible initiatives with sound business, operational and financial objectives.
Douglas is a licensed Professional Engineer with over ten years of EH&S experience in multimedia compliance, assessment, and auditing. He has successfully addressed company needs involving Title V, stack testing, control system development, NPDES, PSM, RMP, SARA, RCRA, EPCRA, CERCLA, ISO certification, compliance reporting, reporting management, and environmental plans. Douglas has worked with hundreds of facilities from a wide range of industries including aerospace, ammonia refrigeration, chemicals manufacturing, cement manufacturing, glass/coatings, industrial warehousing, landfills, metals, military installations, petrochemicals, power generation, and water/wastewater purification. Douglas earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Business Administration from Hawaii Pacific University while working for the U.S. Army in Oahu, HI.
Paul is a Project Team Leader with multiple years of experience in various environmental compliance issues. His technical experience includes: Air, Wastewater and Stormwater Permitting; facility environmental compliance recordkeeping and reporting such as Annual Compliance Certification, Emission Statements, Tier II, and Toxic Release Inventory (TRI); preparation of various environmental plans, such as PPC Plans, SPPP Plans and Pollution Prevention Plans; development of environmental reports; and TSCA compliance and reporting. Paul earned his master’s degree in Environmental Science from Virginia Commonwealth University and his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Paul is also a member of the Air and Waste Management Association- Delaware Valley Chapter.
Sean is an Environmental Engineer with over 5 years of experience with various environmental compliance issues. His technical experience includes: Air, Ozone Depleting Substance Management, Title V Permit Support, facility environmental compliance recordkeeping, and compliance reporting (Emission Statements, Tier II, and Toxic Release Inventory); work on various environmental plans, such as PPC Plans, SPCC Plans and Refrigerant Management Plans, and development of environmental reports. He received a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from John Hopkins University and an undergraduate degree in Biology from State University of New York College at Geneseo.
Natalie has over 13 years of managerial and administrative experience. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Environmental Strategy Consultants, which includes monthly billing, maintaining accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and taxes, human resources, IT management, staff management, vendor management, project administration, and the coordination of corporate events. She earned her Bachelor of Professional Studies at Metropolitan College of New York.
