Lorna M. Velardi
President and Principal Consultant
Ms. Lorna M. Velardi is the Founder and President of Environmental Strategy Consultants, Inc. (ESC). Under her management the company has grown and been recognized for its leading-edge environmental and safety services. Her background includes over 30 years in diversified environmental compliance management and engineering in the industrial and consulting sectors. Prior to ESC, she was Manager of Environmental Affairs for a $200 million/year bulk chemical transporter with responsibilities for a network of 95 nationwide facilities. She has also been responsible for corporate level regulatory programs at Sunoco Company – overseeing all aspects of air pollution control, including permitting, process selection, equipment troubleshooting and performance stack testing for 30 gasoline distribution terminals.
With a B.S. in chemical engineering and experience with both corporate management and field implementation of regulations, she has a unique understanding of environmental, health & safety (EH&S) regulations and technical requirements and the development of solutions to minimize the impact of these obligations on industrial facilities.

Samuel S. Joshi, P.E.
Director, Environmental Compliance Services
Mr. Joshi has over twenty years of experience working in the government, industry, and consulting services. He has extensive experience in environmental permitting and compliance across the United States, Canada, and European Union. Prior to joining ESC, Mr. Joshi worked at multi-national energy companies. His expertise is permitting complex projects in a timely manner to maximize operational flexibility.
He possesses a professional engineering licensure, with a background that includes a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, M.S. in Environmental Studies, and Masters in Business Administration.
